On Nov. 8, Warrant Apprehension Task-Force detectives arrested 23-year-old Knowledge Hamilton while in the 4000 block of Norfolk Avenue in connection with the murder of 36-year-old Turrell Davis.

On Sept. 14, Western District patrol officers were dispatched to the 800 block of North Calhoun Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Once there, officers located Davis suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced the Davis dead at the scene.

A second victim, a 34-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the buttocks.

Through the course of their investigation, homicide detectives were able to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant.

Hamilton was transported to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged with first-degree murder.

Hamilton was denied bail and is currently awaiting trial.
