Despite repeated defense objections expert testimony proceeded in a non-fatal bar shooting on Sep 8 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Althea M. Handy.
Aaron Mills, 43 is charged with first-and-second degree assault, firearm usage in a crime of violence, assault on a law enforcement officer, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and multiple other firearm and drug distribution-related offenses.
The counts stem from an incident that occurred on Dec 28, 2025 where a shooting occurred after an argument broke out at Hubcap Bar and Grill which led to eight shots fired but no injuries reported.
A police officer was assaulted and a substantial amount of drugs were recovered.
The defense attorney, Avrohom Greenfield, raised numerous objections to expert testimony in private conversations with the judge, most of which were not sustained. His concerns were not specified in open court.
However, an analyst testified that there were two different guns found at the incident scene on 6000 Block of Belair Road along with shell casings , live ammo and a cartridge that didn’t match either of the two weapons. One was said to be a Heckler & Coach 45 caliber pistol.
In rebuttal, Greenfield brought a Baltimore detective to the stand who admitted he didn’t know what kind of weapons security officers at the establishment were using.
A drug analyst testified that 43 containers of base cocaine were also recovered at the scene.
