A jury rendered an acquittal before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Paul Cucuzzella on Sept 4, for 25-year-old defendant Bernard Christopher Crawford,
He was originally charged with first-and second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime and reckless endangerment.
Crawford was accused of firing a gun at a residence on the 3700 block of St. Victor Street on February 9, 2025. The incident followed a heated exchange between Crawford and his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend who became unruly and sexually aggressive, according to the police report. A bullet hole was found near the kitchen ceiling. There were no reported injuries.
Crawford went to the home where his girlfriend was braiding hair to bring her supplies. Crawford’s girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend also lived on the premises.
A friend of Crawford’s said he had a gun but not the code to the safe where it was stored.
Following the proceeding, Crawford was released.
