On April 18, at approximately 2:47 a.m., Southern District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 500 block of East Jeffrey Street for a report of a cutting.
Once there, officers located 36-year-old Shakita Thomas suffering from apparent lacerations to the upper body.
Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital, where she later died.
