The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the morning of Aug. 29.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 1600 block of Light Street around 9:04 a.m for reports of a shooting, where a 66-year-old man was found suffering from an apparent gunshot to the leg.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a dispute with the suspect, an adult male, who produced a gun and shot the victim.
The suspect then barricaded himself inside of the location.
Currently, SWAT and negotiators are on the scene.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be disseminated once available.
