A jury acquitted homicide defendant Keith Taylor on March 15 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Yolanda A. Tanner.
The 44-year-old previously faced charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, using a firearm in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person and possessing a firearm with a felony conviction.
By criticizing investigators’ alleged mishandling of evidence and witnesses’ credibility, defense attorney Brandon Taylor convinced the jurors to issue a verdict of not guilty for each charge.
The victim, 23-year-old Jazzwind Kasif Fulton, was killed in a shooting outside of Yasmeen’s Automotive on April 18, 2020. Taylor owned the business on the 3600 block of Woodland Avenue and was accused of shooting at Fulton and another individual to prevent theft of catalytic converters from cars at the shop.
