A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge recalled a probation violation case closed in early February calling the previous closing “unsatisfactorily.”

On March 2, Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer presided over the case of defendant Deandre Carroll for violating his 2009 conviction.

The 34-year-old defendant’s case was recalled for the record and officially closed.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Carroll was serving probation in connection with two incidents

In 2007, Carrol was arrested on Sept.12 following a dispute which ended in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Eugenio Harrison at a gas station on the 2000 block of N. Forest Park Avenue, on Dec. 2, 2007.

Carroll was also later identified as a suspect in the stabbing of male victim Aug. 4, 2008 in Edmondson Village.

In connection to the incident in 2007, Carroll was sentenced to 30 years, suspending all but 15 years with three years of supervised probation for a second-degree murder charge. In addition to a concurrent charge of 15 years for handgun use in committing crime

For his involvement in the 2008 stabbing, the defendant was also sentenced to 20 years, suspending all but 20 years with three years of supervised probation.
