A Baltimore man allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting had his case nolle pros by the prosecutor on Nov. 28 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Kendra Y. Ausby.
Damar Wise was charged with three counts each of first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, possession of a firearm as a minor, discharging a firearm in connection to an incident on Aug. 6.
Wise, 19, was represented by defense counsel Joseph Owens.
According to court documents, patrol officers were called to the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and the 600 block of Laurens Street for two ShotSpotter alerts. Upon arrival, officers found several cartridge casings, projectiles, and bullet fragments while looking for the victim.
University of Maryland hospital informed officers that a male victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot to his lower back walked in seeking treatment.
