The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the evening on June 7.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 5500 block of Plainfield Avenue around 6:29 p.m. for a shooting, where they found four adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, 22-year-old Darren Barnes, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two of the four victims ages 18 and 23 were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The third victim, an 19-year-old Craig Phillips Jr. was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died a short time later.
A preliminary investigation revealed the four victims were sitting outside a home on Plainfield Avenue when an unknown gunman approached and opened fire on the four.
Homicide detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
