A 34-year-old Baltimore man accused of homicide has trial rescheduled to September on March 1 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

Brandon Beshore is charged with first-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon with intent to injure, and false statement to police officer in connection to incident on June 21, 2021.

The trial was postponed due to the suspension of jury selection with the rise of COVID-19 cases.

According to CBS Channel 13, on June 21, 2021, an off-duty officer was on the 1900 block of Belair Road at 8 a.m. when he came across an unconscious man who had been stabbed several times.

The officer called for on-duty backup, and then saw the suspect, identified as Brandon Beshore, fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

The victim was taken to John Hopkins hospital, where he later died.

Beshore was represented by defense attorney Natalie A. McKeown Finegar.

Beshore’s next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 21.
