Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland has scheduled a trial this fall for a 43-year-old accused of a shooting on Carswell Street.

Marrico Bell faces multiple charges including attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of ammunition and firing a gun within Baltimore City in connection to a Feb. 3 shooting.

Bell appeared in court via Zoom on June 18 and rejected a plea offer of 60 years, suspending all but 30 years with the first five years without the possibility of parole.

Judge Copeland scheduled Bell’s trial to begin on Sept. 11. Angela Shelton will represent him.
According to a Baltimore Police Department press release, the charges stem from an incident on the 1500 block of Carswell Street, where Bell allegedly shot a 32-year-old man.
