Murder Trial May Be Delayed, Counsel Waiting On Reports

Counsel in the case of a man charged with murder discussed a lack of discovery received from the Baltimore Police Department that they said is required for a trial that scheduled to begin in six weeks.  William Holland, 28, is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted armed carjacking, two counts of attempted armed robbery, attempted first-degree muder, and other assault and firearm charges.  A colleague standing in for Holland’s defense attorney, Megan Lewis, and the prosecution said that they are waiting for police body camera footage, financial records, and gun examination reports. Baltimore Man Pleads Guilty to Shooting at SWAT Team

A defendant pleaded guilty to shooting at a SWAT team more than five years ago during reception court on July 28 at the Baltimore City Circuit Court.  According to the prosecution, an officer arrived at the home of Robert Blake on the 6900 block of Reisterstown Road on July 6, 2016, with a warrant for his arrest.
