Police Investigate 2 Fatal Shootings on Halloween

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating two separate fatal shootings shortly after midnight on Halloween.

According to a news release, the first fatal shooting occurred around 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 31 when police were called to the 3500 block of Leeds Avenue. Police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Less than seven miles away, another fatal shooting occurred just after 12:30 a.m. Police were called to the 1900 block of Homewood Avenue for a shot spotter alert and found an unresponsive man with gunshot wounds.

Medics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
