Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Kendra Y. Ausby ordered Delvon Bryant, 19, held without bail on Sept. 29 during a bail review hearing in connection to a December 2025 shooting. The judge expressed public safety concerns and Bryant’s potential access to firearms during the hearing.
According to the charging documents, Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to a shooting on the 3000 block of Ridgewood Avenue on Dec. 9, 2025. Detectives allegedly saw Bryant and two other individuals leaving an alley. Officers said Bryant appeared to be armed before recovering a loaded handgun located about three feet away from him.
Police later found a victim on the front porch of a residence on Ridgewood Avenue with a gunshot wound to his left wrist. According to the charging documents, the victim told police that two unidentified individuals had attempted to rob him. The victim also identified Bryant, whom he knew as “Del,” as the person who shot him.
At the hearing, defense attorney Charles Paul proposed home detention, mentioning that Bryant is still in high school and resides with his mother. The prosecutor disagreed, mentioning concerns about public safety and Bryant’s connection to the victim. The judge ordered Bryant to remain held without bail.
Bryant has previously faced trial on the charges. He was found not guilty of attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. However, the jury was unable to reach a verdict on first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, discharging a firearm, and having a handgun on his person for which he is currently facing trial.
A judgment of acquittal was entered on the charge of illegal possession of a firearm.
