On May 6, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Western District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the unit block of South Monroe Street for a reported accident.
Officers arrived at the location and observed a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle, an adult male, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the other vehicle stayed on scene and refused medical treatment.
The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) were summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Investigators are awaiting a positive identification, as well as next-of-kin notification for the male victim.
