In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Western District on June 28, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 46-year-old LaForrest Morgan of Baltimore.
Detectives learned that during the course of a robbery, Morgan shot the 27-year-old male victim and robbed him of his property.
On July 16, officers arrested LaForrest Morgan without incident. Morgan was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder, handgun violations and CDS possession.
On June 28, at around 8:59 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a call for a walk-in shooting victim.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot on the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Western District Shooting detectives responded and have assumed control over this investigation.
