A 37-year-old Baltimore man accused of homicide has a trial scheduled for August.
Trayon Waters is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, and having a handgun on his person in connection to an incident on July 8, 2021.
On Jan. 12 Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Schiffer listened as counsel scheduled a trial date for the defendant.
According to CBS Baltimore, on July 8, 2021, officers were called to the 1600 block of Cliftview Avenue in West Baltimore for reports of shots being fired. They found 34-year-old Anthony Cain Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Medics took the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.
Waters’ trial is scheduled for Aug. 15 with Judge Barry G. Williams presiding.
