An attempted-murder defendant’s hearing was postponed due to a prosecutor’s absence on Feb. 17 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Phillip S. Jackson .
Cierra Blake, 29, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault, use of a firearm during a violent crime, second-degree assault on a police officer, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm in connection to an incident on July 14, 2020.
During Thursday’s proceedings, the defendant’s case was postponed due to the prosecutor not being present.
Sitting in for the defendant’s defense attorney, Lawrence Rosenberg requested a two-week grace period to contact the prosecutor and discuss a potential plea.
According to WBALTV, on July 14, 2020, officers were called to the 3300 block of W. Garrison Avenue for reports of shots being fired. They found a 39-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.
Blake’s next hearing is scheduled for March 4.
