A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge denied bail for attempted homicide defendant Elijah Stanley in connection to a shooting that injured one man near McElderry Street and North Montford Avenue in March.
During their investigation, Baltimore Police found city surveillance footage that showed four suspects shooting at the victim at the intersection of the 2300 block of McElderry Street and the 600 block of North Montford Avenue on March 2. Three of the four suspects, armed with guns and rifles, were seen getting out of a rented Audi Q5 and opening fire on the victim, while the fourth suspect fired shots from the driver’s side of the car.
Police pulled the same car over two days later and took the driver, later identified as Stanley, in for questioning.
On May 24, Judge Anthony F. Vittoria denied the 20-year-old defendant’s bail. Stanley, who is represented by defense attorney Daniel Mooney, is currently charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
