On Sept. 19, Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn scheduled another retrial for two 18-year-old defendants charged with the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Clark Hohrein in 2021.

William Holloman and Darell Parker are charged with two counts of first-degree murder and firearm use in a felony violent crime. Additionally, Parker is charged with possessing a firearm as a minor.

Judge Phinn previously scheduled the defendants’ retrial for Sept. 19 before Judge Paul E. Alpert. However, on Tuesday the trial was changed to a hearing.

Judge Phinn changed the trial date Dec. 11 before Judge Alpert. It is expected to last four days.

At the time of the incident both defendants were 16 years old. According to the statement of charges issued by the District Court of Maryland, a Baltimore City Department police officer found Hohrein lying on the sidewalk, bleeding from a gunshot wound. Hohrein was shot on the 600 block of W. Mulberry Street on June 1, 2021.

Officers circulated photos of one of the suspects, and Parker’s parents were able to identify him. Holloman then approached the Baltimore Police Department to talk about the incident and was also arrested.

Holloman and Parker had their case declared a mistrial in December 2022. Holloman was represented by Robert Linthicum and Jennifer Davis, while Parker was represented by Donald Wright.
