On July 14, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m., Western District officers responded to the 2800 block of West Lanvale Street for a reported shooting investigation.
Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victims were transported to an area hospital, where the 19-year-old was pronounced deceased by hospital staff. The second victim is currently listed in critical condition. Police have not released the identity of either victim at this time.
