A 64-year-old man and his defense attorney, Judit Otvos, appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Judge Robert K. Taylor Jr. on Aug. 14, to request a sentencing postponement in the case regarding the fatal stabbing of 53-year-old Kelly Logan.
On June 27, defendant Bruce Poole pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
According to court documents, footage revealed the defendant removing items from their shared apartment, using a shopping cart with large trash bags containing what police believed to be Logan’s remains on the 2100 block of Kloman Street on Sept. 21, 2022.
The defendant’s attorney stated that she was unprepared for the hearing because of a new social worker that was assigned to the case a week ago.
Judge Taylor set the new sentencing date date for Oct. 16.
