A Baltimore man charged with attempted murder had his hearing continued until early February due to his attorney being absent.

On Jan 20, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland scheduled for defendant Robert Myers to return to reception court on Feb. 1 to allow for his private counsel to enter his name on the record.

Myers informed the court that he was unaware why his attorney Roland Brown had not entered his appearance in the case, stating that he had just met with him the week prior.

According to the Maryland Judiciary website, Myers is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, malicious destruction of property valued less than $1,000 and two counts of reckless endangerment for an incident that occurred on July 27, 2022.
