A 28-year-old man has been arrested for the attempted murder of a 36-year-old woman on March 21.
The Baltimore Police Department has reported the arrest of Samal Chavis, 28, exactly two weeks after the incident from the area of Stafford and Parksley Avenue around 9:24 p.m. where a 36-year-old woman was found suffering from an apparent gunshot to the face.
Medic transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.
Investigators believe Chavis shot the 36-year-old female victim in the face following a dispute.
On June 3, 2022, Chavis barricaded himself into the 5600 block of Purdue Avenue for several hours until detectives talked him into surrendering without further incident.
Following his arrest, Chavis was taken to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with attempted murder.
