A 29-year-old attempted murder defendant rejected a plea of 20 years, scheduling her trial for March 2023 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Pierrerea Henry is charged with two counts each of first and second-degree attempted murder, two counts each of first and second-degree assault, having a handgun on her person, having a loaded handgun on her person, having a handgun in a vehicle, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, using a deadly weapon with intent to injure, using a firearm during a felony violent crime, and having a stolen pistol in connection to an incident on Feb. 15 alongside her co-defendant Alvin Cunningham, her boyfriend at the time.
The Baltimore Witness previously reported that Henry and Cunningham had engaged in an argument with the father of Henry’s child on the day of the incident. Cunningham allegedly shot into the back of the victims car following a physical altercation. No one was injured.
On Sept. 26 the prosecutor presented a plea of 20 years, suspending all but three years with five years supervised probation for first-degree attempted murder.
Under the plea, the defendant must have no contact with the victim, cannot possess a firearm, and must undergo anger management.
Henry and her defense attorney Arthur McGreevy rejected the plea.
Henry’s trial is scheduled for March 27, 2023, with Judge Videtta Brown presiding.
