Victim Transported to Area Hospital Following Shooting on South Broadway

On March 19, at approximately 2:22 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 700 block of S. Broadway to investigate a reported shooting inside an establishment.

Once at the location, officers located an unidentified adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in surgery.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and a security officer were in a physical altercation prior to the shooting. The security officer discharged their weapon, striking the victim.

Southeast Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Southeast District shooting detectives at 410-396-2422.
