Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland rescheduled 44-year old Timothy Clinedinst’s pre-trial hearing to March 13 on Jan. 24. He appeared at the hearing remotely.

Clinedinst, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter, was arrested on Aug. 19, 2024, by Baltimore Police Department (BPD) officers in connection to the killing of 74-year-old David Philpot in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue.

Two days earlier, Philpot succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital.

The prosecution offered a plea deal with a ten-year jail term, but Clinedinst rejected the offer. The two-day trial was set for April 7.
