Trial Date Set for ‘39 Babies’ Gang Member Accused of Murder

An accused Baltimore gang member will go on trial after prosecutors decided not to offer a plea deal on April 14.

A trial date of Oct. 16 was set by Baltimore City Circuit Judge Melissa M. Phinn in the case of Datwain Jackson

Jackson’s trial is expected to last eight days before Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer.

Among the incidents, Jackson is accused of murdering of 19-year-old Andrew Frazier on Aug. 22, 2020.

Officers with the Baltimore Police Department found Frazier with a gunshot wound on the 5400 block of Lothian Road after responding to a report of gunfire.

Jackson, 22, is currently being charged with two counts of conspiracy to participate in criminal gangs, gang association, conspiracy to perform unlawful acts, two counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, second-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of firearms during a controlled dangerous substance offense, having a loaded handgun on his person, having a handgun on his person for his involvement with the Baltimore City gang known as “Green Team” or “39 Babies.”
