On July 25, due to the prosecutor still being out on medical leave until further notice, an attempted murder trial was set for November with a new prosecutor.

Ronald Gray, 21, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm during a violent crime, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, having a loaded handgun on his person, discharging a firearm within Baltimore city and having a handgun on his person for allegedly shooting a 47-year-old man.

A new prosecutor is taking over the defendant’s trial.

Since Gray’s last postponed hearing on July 22, counsel agreed on a new trial date before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.

According to CBS Baltimore, on Sept. 12, 2021, officers were called to the 2800 block of Pulaski Highway for reports of a shooting. They found a 47-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

An argument preempted the shooting, said police. Gray was arrested that same day. The trial is set to begin on Nov. 7 with Judge Stacey A. Mayer presiding.
