A motions trial was set for three co-defendants in a homicide case at the Baltimore City Circuit Court on June 21.
Matthew Talley, a 29-year-old Baltimore resident, is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, conspiracy to firearm use in a violent crime, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, carrying a handgun, conspiracy to carrying a handgun, two counts of having a handgun in a vehicle, and discharging firearms.
Talley was offered a plea of, life suspending all but 29 years and five years of supervised probation, which defense attorney Tyler Mann rejected on his behalf.
Daoin Finch, who is also a Baltimore resident, rejected a plea deal for life, suspending all but 20 years.
Finch, 22, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, conspiracy of firearm use in a violent crime, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, carrying a handgun, conspiracy of carrying a handgun, two counts of having a handgun in a vehicle, and discharging of a firearm.
Antwain Partlow, 21, is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, the use of a firearm in a violent crime, conspiracy of firearm use in a violent crime, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, carrying a handgun, conspiracy of carrying a handgun, two counts of having a handgun in a vehicle, and discharging of a firearm.
A preliminary motions date was set for all three men on Sept. 21, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
A trial date for the trio is scheduled for Feb. 8, 2022.
In addition to the co-defendant case, Judge Melissa M. Phinn also heard another homicide case in which she scheduled a trial for seven months earlier.
Baltimore resident Leah Harrison, 23, will begin trial proceedings on July 8, 2021, for allegedly killing Veronica Freeman in April 2020. According to CBS Baltimore, Harrison allegedly stabbed Freeman to death on the 200 block of Bakers Street inside her home.
Harrison faces charges of first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure.
Defense attorney Warren Brown rejected a plea offer on Harrison’s behalf. The plea offer was for life, suspending all but 50 years, as well as three years for use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure.
