Teen Shot, Killed on West Lexington Street

On Feb. 20, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 800 block of West Lexington Street for a ShotSpotter alert.

Once there, Baltimore Police Department officers located 19-year-old Darcell Mitchell inside a home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

Investigators learned that the victim was shot while standing outside on the 800 block of West Lexington Street. The victim then fled inside a home where police were notified.
