On April 19, at approximately 8:58 p.m., Southwest District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1900 block of Grinnalds Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located 38-year-old Joshua Tingler suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Medics arrived on the scene and attempted life-saving measures to no avail. The victim was pronounced on scene by medics a short time later.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 42-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower right back.
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
While on the scene, homicide detectives were notified of a second victim located at an area hospital. Central District officers were also advised of the walk-in shooting victim.
Preliminary investigation revealed that this was the second victim involved in this shooting located in the 1900 block of Grinnalds Avenue.
