Southeast District Officers Arrest and Charge Juvenile with Murder and Attempted Murder for East Street Double Shooting

On May 25, at approximately 11:10 p.m., members of the homicide and Eastern District Action Team arrested a 17-year-old male at a residence located in the 1600 block of Mullikin Court.

Detectives believe that the 17-year-old suspect shot two 19-year-old males, killing one, later identified as 19-year-old Dabrae Edwards. Both victims were shot on May 19, on the 200 block of East Street.

Detectives transported the 17-year-old to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and various handgun violations.

On the day of the incident, at approximately 8:41 p.m., Southeast District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 200 block of East Street to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 19-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and an unidentified individual, later identified as the second 19-year-old victim, suffering from a gunshot wound to his right arm. Both victims were transported by medics to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Due to the 19-year-old victim’s injuries, homicide detectives have been notified.
