On Jan. 5, a 26-year-old Baltimore man rejected a plea offer for an attempted murder that occurred in May 2022 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.
Phillip Queen, who defense attorney Dalia Weintraub represents, was offered a plea of life, suspending all but 50 years, and five years of supervised probation for one count of attempted first-degree murder, and 20 years, the first five years without parole for another count of attempted first-degree murder for a crime committed on May 7, 2022.
After the defendant rejected the plea, counsel agreed to return to reception court on Jan. 13, when they will pick a trial date before Queen’s Hick’s date of Feb. 19, which marks 180 days since his or his defense attorney’s first court appearance.
