A 27-year-old man’s attempted murder case was placed on the Baltimore City Circuit Court’s stet docket on June 20 as requested by the prosecution.

During the proceeding, Judge John Howard agreed to place defendant Phillip Queen’s case on the stet docket, which allows either the prosecution or the defense to re-open the case within the first year. Counsel must have probable cause to re-open the case in its second and third year on the docket.

Queen’s charges stem from an incident on May 7, 2022, when recovered video surveillance footage shows the defendant firing a gun at three people who were standing at the intersection of Hollins and N. Carey streets. The footage shows Queen driving a gray Ford Escape, parking on North Carrollton Avenue and walking to the unit block of Stockton Street where he fired the gun.

Charges against the defendant included three counts each of attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and firearm use in a felony or violent crime and single counts of reckless endangerment, firearm possession with a felony conviction, having a handgun on his person and in a vehicle, having a loaded handgun on his person and in a vehicle, discharging firearms, illegal possession of ammo and malicious destruction of property valued more than $1,000.

He was represented by defense attorney Dalia Weintraub.
