Officers Report Carjacking Turned Non-Fatal Shooting on Cottage Avenue

On May 2, at approximately 11:26 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 3500 block of Cottage Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 55-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was attempting to deliver food within the 3500 block of Cottage Avenue when he was approached by two unidentified black males, one of whom was armed with a gun.

The suspects announced a robbery and during the course of the robbery, the suspects shot the victim twice and fled the location in the victim’s vehicle.
