On Dec. 6, Jamon Brown appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn in order to get a new trial date. The judge set the proceeding for Jan. 22, 2024.
Brown is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, firing a gun in Baltimore City, illegal possession of ammunition and two counts of reckless endangerment in connection with a shooting that occurred on June 20.
Brown’s trial was originally set on Tuesday, Dec. 5, but he was unable to get transportation to court. Baltimore Witness previously noted that a detective in the case was not available to testify that day. With only his attorney, John Cox, and the prosecutor present, the parties agreed to a postponement.
