The trial for an accused homicide defendant, which was originally scheduled for Nov. 1, was postponed by Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Videtta Brown.
Deonte Walker, 31, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a violent crime, having a handgun in his vehicle, having a handgun on his person, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Jan. 14, 2020.
During an off-the-record conversation with Judge Brown, the defendant’s defense attorney, Catherine Flynn, and the prosecution agreed on a new trial date of Dec. 1. The trial is expected to last for approximately five days.
