Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lawrence P. Fletcher-Hill sent a hearing to reception court for rescheduling on July 31 after defense counsel requested a postponement.
Defense counsel, Jason Ott, requested a postponement for the defendant, Micheal Harvey because Ott had replaced Harvey’s previous lawyer recently and needs more time. The prosecution did not object to the postponement. Judge Fletcher-Hill sent the case to reception court, where Judge Melissa M. Phinn continued it until Sept. 19.
According to charging statements on Dec. 17 2021, police officers responded to a shooting on the 600 block of Laurens Street. Upon police arrival, they found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment. 29-year-old Aaron Adams was pronounced dead at the scene. Harvey was later arrested and charged for Adam’s death.
Harvey, 47, is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree, conspiracy to use a firearm in a felony violent crime, attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder possessing a handgun in a vehicle and providing a false statement to police.
