A trial for a defendant accused of possessing a firearm with a prior felony conviction was set by Judge Melissa K. Copeland on Aug. 6 in Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Jawan Lee’s,22, trial was scheduled on Sept. 16 in front of Judge Cynthia H. Jones. His defense attorney is slated to be Avrohom Greenfield.
Lee is also charged with three additional counts including handgun on a person, illegal possession of ammunition, and discharging a gun.
Before the trial date was set, the prosecution offered Lee a plea deal of 10 years, suspending all but five years, for firearm possession with a felony conviction. All other charges were dropped, but Lee refused.
Lee’s trial is expected to run for two days.
