Eastern District Officers Launch Investigation into Fatal Shooting of 19-Year-Old

On March 24, at 5:06p.m., Eastern District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to a discharging and two ShotSpotter alerts in the 3000 block of East Preston Street.

Once at the location, officers observed 19-year-old Timothy Walker Jr. suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest. Medics administered life-saving measures, but the victim succumb to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Homicide detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
