Double-Shooting Reported in Southern District

On July 25, at approximately 6:17 p.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Hollins Ferry Road to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 21-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers continued to canvass the area and discovered a second victim, an unresponsive 20-year-old Di’Shon Smith suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound(s). Medics attempted life-saving measures on the Smith, yet he was unfortunately pronounced deceased on the scene. The 21-year-old male was transported to an area hospital where he is being treated for his injury.

Homicide detectives with the Baltimore Police Department responded and assumed control over this investigation.
