All of these sentences are to be served concurrently.
Judge Tanner also sentenced Moulden to 25 years for first-degree assault, 20 years for the use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, one year for discharging a firearm and 15 years for the possession of a firearm with a felony conviction. These four sentences are running consecutively.
According to previous reporting, Moulden was found guilty by a jury on April 7. The jury heard witness testimony and watched video surveillance footage of the scene that showed Moulden fire shots in the direction of multiple victims. However, none of the four victims appeared in court to testify.
According to the assistant state’s attorney’s final statements, Moulden arrived at a gas station and immediately had an altercation with a woman there. He pulled out a pistol and hit her with the weapon. Once the victims at the scene had begun to run off because of Moulden pointing a gun at them, Moulden was shot from behind in the leg. It was after he got shot that he started to fire back in the direction of his assailant.
Moulden, 48, was charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault, the use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, reckless endangerment in connection to the incident that occurred on April 30, 2022.
