On Sept. 27, an attempted murder defendant’s trial was postponed until October before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn, due to the defense counsel being sick.

The prosecutor informed the court that attorney Roland Brown, who is representing the defendant Paul King, was ill and would not be available until further notice.

King, 37, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, carrying/wearing a handgun on his person, firing and discharging a firearm, possession of a gun with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammo, and carrying/wearing a handgun on his person in connection to an incident on Dec. 15, 2020.

According to CBS Baltimore, officers arrived on the 1200 block of Decker Street after 3:45 p.m. where they found a 60-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after an attempted robbery.

Kings’ trial is scheduled for Oct. 4 and is expected to last two days with Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer presiding.
