Bail Review Postponed for Attempted Murder Defendant

A Baltimore man accused of attempted murder was denied bail on March. 4 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Phillip S. Jackson. 

Paul King, 37 is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, carrying/wearing a handgun on his person, firing and discharging a firearm, possession of a gun with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammo, and carrying/wearing a handgun on his person in connection to an incident on Dec. 15, 2020.

During a bail hearing on Friday, Judge Jackson listened as pretrial services asked for the hearing to be postponed on behalf of the defendant’s defense attorney, Ronald Brown, because he had to attend other matters.

After listening to the motion, Judge Jackson postponed the hearing.

According to CBS Baltimore, King allegedly shot a 60-year-old woman multiple times during an attempted robbery on Dec. 13, 2020, on the 1200 block of Decker Street around 3:45 p.m.

King’s next hearing is scheduled for March 22.
