A case against an alleged attempted murderer was pushed to early October due to defense counsel’s leave of absence.

Kevin Julius, 31, is facing charges of first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, and firearm use in a violent crime.

On Aug. 30, the prosecution said Julius’ attorney, Leslie Stein, is on leave through the end of September.

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn scheduled the case to return to reception court on Oct. 7, four days before Julius’ Hick’s date, his right to be tried within 180 days of his first court appearance.
