On Jan. 11, a 47-year-old non-fatal shooting defendant received a new trial date before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.

Nadeem Tajdin is charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, firing a gun in Baltimore City, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of an unregistered rifle or shotgun and illegal possession of ammunition in connection to a March 6, 2023, incident.

Previously, Tajdin’s trial was delayed due to his attorney, Rodney Gray, entering his appearance.

The prosecution didn’t extend a plea offer to Tajdin in court Thursday. Judge Copeland scheduled Tajdin’s three-day trial to begin on April 2 before Judge Dana M. Middleton

According to documents from the District Court of Maryland, Tajdin allegedly shot at a woman outside a convenience store on the 3700 block of Edmondson Avenue. Baltimore Police Department officers found BB fragments at the crime scene and identified Tajdin on surveillance footage pointing a shotgun at the victim before shooting.
