During a reception court hearing on March 3, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn scheduled a trial date for an assault defendant after he rejected a plea offered by the prosecution.
Defendant Larry Robinson, who is represented by Michael Cochran, was offered a plea of 10 years, suspending all but five years with three years of supervised probation and a concurrent five years for use of a firearm in a felony violent crime in connection to an incident that occurred on July 22, 2022.
The 26-year-old defendant’s trial, which was expected to start on Friday, was postponed due to the primary witness having a medical issue.
Judge Phinn scheduled Robinson’s trial for March 20 with Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Yvette Bryant presiding. The trial is expected to last for two days.
According to the Maryland Judiciary website, the defendant is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and use of a firearm in a felony violent crime in connection to an incident that occurred on July 22, 2022.
