Western District Homicide Investigation

On August 15, 2026, at approximately 3:26 p.m., Baltimore Police Departments Western District Officers responded to 400 block of W. Lafayette Avenue in reference to a ShotSpotter alert and a call of a reported shooting.

Once on scene, officers located a 24-year-old Donte Hall suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to area hospitals, where he is listed in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced deceased.

Investigations later revealed the shooting took place on the 1300 block of Madison Avenue.

Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and are asking anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact them at 410-396-2100.
