During a Nov. 1 reception court proceeding, a murder defendant who is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend rejected a plea offer posed by the prosecution.
Forell Issac, 38, is charged with first and second-degree murder in connection to the stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old, Linique Green, on Sept. 12 on the 1100 block of North Milton Avenue.
At the hearing, the prosecutor proposed a plea offer, including a 60 year sentence in exchange for a guilty plea.
“No,” Isaac shouted, a sentiment that was echoed by his attorney, Daniel Salem, who declined the proposal.
According to CBS Baltimore, the prosecution alleged that Issac followed and chased Green for several blocks as she exited her home and stabbed her in the chest 10 times in what was considered a “particularly violent homicide.”
After listening to both parties, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland set a Feb. 21 trial date for this case, providing the defense and prosecution with ample time to address matters.
The trial is slated to last four days.
Isaac will continue to be held in jail.
